Iraq’s Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, has affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to building a fleet of oil tankers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His statement came during a meeting with the Chairman of the Norwegian company Batservice Mandal<\/strong> [B\u00e5tservice Mandal AS], Bj\u00f8rn Fjellhaugen, and the accompanying delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Minister praised the role of Batservice, in cooperation with the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company (IOTC)<\/strong>, in building the tankers “Sumer<\/a>” and “Akkad [Aked]”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation opportunities between the company and the national carrier were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting was attended by the Deputy General Manager of the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company, Mr. Hadi Salman Fadil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In August 2020, Iraq Business News<\/em><\/a> Expert Blogger, Ahmed Mousa Jiyad<\/a>, demanded an investigation<\/a> into Iraq’s reported<\/a> contract to buy tankers from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (Source: Ministry of Oil)<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" by Iraq localize Iraq’s Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, has affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to building a fleet of oil tankers.
